When is the Market opening?

The Market will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 24, but will open again on Friday morning. Please keep checking the Market’s website, Facebook, or Instagram for updates.

What are the Market’s hours?

Monday through Saturday

10:00 AM to 9:00 PM

East Hall: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

West Hall: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM

 

Sunday  10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

East Hall: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

West Hall: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

 

Conjure Coffee and Grabill Amish Pastries are open with coffee and breakfast options starting at 7am Monday-Friday and at 9am on Saturdays. Because our merchants are individual, small businesses, hours may vary. You can find a list of all our merchants and their hours here.

What are the Market’s holiday hours?

The Market is closed on Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. The Market will close at 4 pm on Christmas Eve.

Where can I park?

Free visitor parking is located in the Union Street Garage, accessed from Broadway just north of the railroad bridge. A visitor parking lot is also located on Swinney Avenue. Find more parking information.

Am I allowed to bring my pet?

Pets are welcome at the Union Street Market’s outdoor spaces only. Well-behaved pets, on leash, may accompany their owners at the Market’s outdoor plazas but will need to leave if they exhibit loud or threatening behavior.

How do I pay for my order?

In-person shopping can be paid for by cash, credit cards, or Union Street Market gift cards.

Online orders may be purchased with credit cards or Union Street Market gift cards.

Where can I use Union Street Market gift cards?

Union Street Market’s gift cards may be redeemed by any Market merchant or can be used to pay for online orders. Treat the cards the same as cash – they never expire and make great gifts!

Where can I purchase Market gift cards?

Union Street Market gift cards may be purchased online Gift Cards or from any merchant in the Market.

Who do I contact for a return on my purchase or to correct a mistake?

Each merchant within Union Street Market is an independent business. Please contact the merchant directly for returns or to correct mistakes.

If you are not able to resolve an issue with the merchant directly, please send an email to manager@unionstreetmarket.org and describe the situation and your proposed resolution.

Are all restaurants on campus at Union Street Market?

Over time, Electric Works will have various dining and beverage options. Union Street Market will initially be the source for food and dining on campus.

Where are the restrooms?

Public restrooms are located in the northeast corner of the East Hall and on the mezzanine of the West Hall.

Are there areas to store my bags while I shop?

The Market does not offer customer storage areas. The merchants are very accommodating and might be able to hold your purchases while you shop!

Are there shopping carts or wheelchairs available?

The Market, like nearly all public markets, does not offer shopping carts or wheelchairs.

Do you have bike racks?

Bike racks can be found throughout the Electric Works campus, including on Dynamo Alley in front of Union Street Market. Please ride your bike to the Market!

Do you allow filming or photography shoots?

Customers are encouraged to photograph their visits to the Market – please share on social media and tag @UnionStreetMarket.

Anyone interested in filming or photography for commercial purposes must contact manager@unionstreetmarket.org for information about restrictions and permission.

Do you rent out spaces for events?

Absolutely! The mezzanine in the West Hall is a great place for a cocktail party or other social gathering. The Teaching Kitchen offers an intimate space for smaller groups, with use of the fully equipped kitchen for classes, demonstrations, or as a service area.

The Market merchants look forward to catering your event. Or simply offer Market gift cards and allow your guests to choose from any merchant and bring back their bounty to the private event space!
