Ermin Husidic

Ermin Husidic is responsible for overseeing the operation of Union Street Market. Ermin’s family immigrated to Fort Wayne from Bosnia in the 1990s. Following his service in the US Air Force and numerous years in the tourism and hospitality industry in South Dakota, he returned to Fort Wayne to be near his family and to run Union Street Market.

Katy Silliman

Katy Silliman ensures that Electric Works and Union Street Market offer a great experience to every guest, including private parties and events. A life-long Fort Wayne resident, Katy helped launch the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, worked nationally to support community-wide educational initiatives, and led retail operations at Three Rivers Distilling Co.

Jessica Denney

Jessica's experience planning and coordinating corporate and private events for over 18 years brings a wealth of knowledge and diversity to the team. As a locally raised Fort Wayne native, she has been delivering quality events to the area and working with all the local vendors for years. She thrives on being detail oriented and working to curate fun and memorable experiences for all clients using Union Street Market.

Ted Spitzer

Ted Spitzer led the effort to create Union Street Market as Director of Planning & Development and recruited all the Market merchants. Ted has devoted his career to the development and improvement of public markets, farmers’ markets, and related local food projects throughout the country. He was the lead author of Public Markets and Community Revitalization (Urban Land Institute, 1995), which has been called the definitive guide to the field. He was initially retained by the City of Fort Wayne to explore the idea of a downtown public market in 2011 and has worked with the Ancora Development team since 2018.

Ted led the planning effort for the Grand Rapids Downtown Market and the Milwaukee Public Market and has assisted historic markets such as Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia, Cleveland’s West Side Market, and North Market in Columbus.

Hugh Boyd, FAIA

Hugh is the nation’s foremost public market architect, having assisted public markets, food halls, and similar facilities for over three decades. As a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, Hugh is recognized by his profession as one of the top one percent of architects, in large part due to his role in the renaissance of markets throughout the United States. He is passionate about helping small, independent food vendors achieve success through efficient and compelling design. Hugh’s practice also includes cutting-edge restaurant and supermarket design. Hugh lives in Montclair, New Jersey.
